Report · REP-009 · v1.0
Capella · Working capital and cash conversion cycle
How much cash is tied up in receivables and inventory, how much suppliers finance, and how much cash each day of improvement in the cycle frees up.
Turns 13 months of balances (or trial balances) into a 5-page report: DSO, DIO, DPO and the cash conversion cycle with their trend, the working capital bridge against prior year —how much is activity and how much is days— and the cash each target frees up, with an owner and a date.
Before calculating, your AI reconciles the last month with the trial balance and with the receivables and payables detail; if something does not tie out, it stops and asks. Figures come from code and live Excel formulas, and the Repporti kit checks that every figure in the Word file exists in the calculation before it prints the seal.
It never proposes paying suppliers after the due date and never invents causes: anything management did not explain stays as «[cause to be confirmed]». Terms, statements and number format come from the Repporti Standard for your country, framework and language.
What it includes

- 0213-month trend in small multiples on the same scale
- 03Where the cash is: working capital bridge against prior year (activity and days)
- 04Receivables and payables: ageing, concentration and agreed terms

- 06Appendix: controls, assumptions, limitations and glossary
Controls 6/6
What it checks before writing a single figure
C1Complete series: 13 consecutive months ending in the period, no repeated months, with revenue and cost of sales in every month.
C2Reconciled cut-off: the last month matches the trial balance for receivables, inventory, payables, revenue and cost of sales (N/A without a trial balance).
C3Reconciled detail: receivables and payables by document add up to the cut-off balances (N/A without those files).
C4Identities on the Control sheet: working capital = receivables + inventory − payables; cycle = DSO + DIO − DPO; days effect + activity effect = change in working capital.
C5Figures table valid for the kit: numeric values, no repeated lines, valid units and costs with a single sign (cuadre.py validar).
C6Traceable figures: every figure in the Word file (and the PowerPoint) exists in calculo.json with the same rounding (cuadre.py verificar).

Repporti Standard
It comes out adapted to your report profile
Compatible with every country and framework in the Standard: when you copy, it is composed with your profile (country, accounting framework, report language, currency, unit and year-end). Terminology, number format and statement names come from the Standard, not from the prompt.

Anonymize before pasting
- Company name → an alias (“Client 07”); tax ID → “ID-XX”.
- Customers, suppliers and employees → codes (C001, P001, E001). The mapping table stays on your computer.
- Use an AI that does not train on your data: business plan, API or training turned off.

| Level | AI | |
|---|---|---|
| With code execution | ChatGPT · Claude | Designed for plans with data analysis (ChatGPT) or code execution (Claude): cuadre.py runs inside the AI. |
| No-code mode | Copilot · Gemini | Generates the Excel file with formulas and a Control sheet. The footer says “NOT VERIFIED” unless you run cuadre.py on your computer. |
Questions
About this report
What if my system gives year-to-date results?
The prompt takes the month's movement (debits − credits for the month, or the difference between two cumulative balances) and states which one it used. If cumulative and monthly figures are mixed, the jump check catches it and asks before going on.
What if I have no targets in days?
Prior-year days for the same month are used and stated as an assumption. You can give your own targets and recalculate: the cash each one frees up comes from the script.
Why does the DPO target never exceed the agreed terms?
Paying after the due date does not free cash: it is a breach with the supplier. The DPO target is capped at the average agreed terms, calculated from the dates on your payables.
What if receivables include indirect taxes?
The AI asks for the rate and also calculates DSO without the tax, because revenue excludes it. It shows both and says which one governs.
What if my AI cannot run code?
It switches to no-code mode: it builds the Excel file with formulas and a Control sheet, and the Word footer says «NOT VERIFIED». You can run cuadre.py on your computer and get the seal later.
